The CHISPA Foundation is a nonprofit 501c(3) organization that provides support and access to education, training and information about sustainable homeownership in order to help build generational wealth for real estate professionals and the Hispanic community.
The CHISPA Foundation's mission is to empower real estate professionals in addition to the Hispanic communities they serve through cultural understanding, advocacy, education and training in order to create generational wealth through sustainable homeownership.
Lisa Ortiz-Rodriguez is the founder of The CHISPA Foundation. She has more then 20 years of legal and real estate experience. Beginning her career in 1993 in the Corporation Counsel’s Office for the City of Chicago working in the Tort, Finance and Economic Development Divisions as well as the Drug and Gang House Enforcement Section dealing with quality of life issues for neighborhoods within the City of Chicago. Eventually taking a position in NYC in the General Counsel’s Office of the largest urban university in the country. In 2003 Lisa decided to bring her negotiation skills to the real estate field. She’s dually licensed in NJ and NY.
Ruth is a finance director with over 25 years of experience in the corporate sector. She has successfully assisted several organizations through various mergers and acquisitions. Her experience began in public accounting, auditing various organizations in various sectors before moving over to the private sector as a Controller then Finance Director. Ruth is well versed in the areas of tax, finance, and mergers and acquisitions.
Jessica Marie Peguero has a Master of Science degree from the School of Business at Villanova University, a certificate in Nonprofit and Public Organizational Management from CUNY Hostos, and a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University at Albany. She has over 15 years experience in nonprofit development, fundraising, and data analytics - working with a variety of organizations across the United States.
Wilma “Frances” Carb is currently a Realtor with Keller Williams, co-owner of The Mango Tree Boutique in the Caribbean Island of Dominica, and recently started a redesign and reorganization business- RERE, Services. Prior to joining KW, she held senior financial and operational management roles for many years at healthcare and technology companies, including Greenwich Hospital, Autonomy, HP, and Micro Focus. Frances holds a B.S. in Health Services Management from Mercy College. She loves global travel, especially to countries with a wine footprint and is always looking for an adventure along the way. She loves to meet people and develop relationships, and also has a special touch when it comes to mentoring our diverse next generation. A collaborator with unique and dynamic skills, Frances is looking forward to supporting The CHISPA Foundation.
